Age of Conan Receives First Expansion: Rise of the Godslayer

There are certainly a lot of MMORPGs out there, many struggling to find a story universe in which all of the classes and characters make sense. One game that managed such a thing is Funcom's Age of Conan, which has its background in the universe of the famous warrior. After registering quite a lot of acclaim from critics and being fairly popular in front of other titles like Warhammer Online, the game was rumored to be facing termination, but Funcom fought back and brought the title into the public spotlight again. Now, the company has announced the first expansion to the game, subtitled Rise of the Godslayer. The add-on will be inspired from the rich and colorful cultures of eastern Asia and will send players on a voyage to the Empire of Khitai, where many hours of epic adventures await each and every one of them. New features like faction gameplay and an alternate advancement system will also be included, besides the new storyline and open world. “Since the turn of the year the team has been working hard on bringing the Empire of Khitai to life,” says Craig Morrison, game director and executive producer on ‘Rise of the Godslayer.’ “Our focus now is on expanding on the strengths of the game by providing massive new regions of the world to explore,...
